What should you put in a text-to-3D prompt?
Start with the subject, then describe its pose, overall shape, style, and base. Keep the first idea simple enough to inspect from every side. Use the size selector for dimensions; a number in the prompt alone is not a dimensional guarantee.
- Subject: one original character, animal, or decorative object.
- Shape: a seated pose, broad base, rounded edges, or a shallow relief.
- Style: a stylized collectible, simple geometric sculpture, or unpainted figure.
- Details: a few large features that will remain visible at your intended size.
Three prompts you can adapt
These are starting prompts, not claims of tested print results. Change the subject and style to make the idea yours.
A cheerful seated otter holding a large shell against its chest. Rounded collectible style, sturdy limbs, tail resting against a broad flat base, no loose accessories.
A small abstract desk sculpture shaped like three rounded waves joined together on a wide oval foot. Smooth surfaces and a simple silhouette.
An original mushroom explorer with a large cap, chunky boots and a backpack attached to its body. Unpainted figurine style, standing on a flat circular base.
Review the concept before spending credits on the model
In Kavi AI, creating the concept and creating the 3D model are separate paid steps. Check the pose, silhouette, number of limbs, and attached details in the concept. Edit the idea if needed before approving model creation. The concept is a reference image; it does not prove that hidden surfaces or thin features will print correctly.
Inspect the generated shape, then download
Rotate the completed model and look at its back, underside, and base. Download the available STL or 3MF file for slicer preparation, or use GLB for a 3D preview workflow. Re-downloading a completed model uses no extra creation credits. You can request a print review and separate quote from the same saved design.
When to use CAD instead
Use dimension-controlled CAD for precise replacement parts, threads, hinges, snap fits, and pieces that must connect mechanically. A generated decorative mesh does not establish tolerances or fit. For a first Kavi AI project, an original figure or desk sculpture is a more suitable starting point.
